Food with respect for environment

We make food from responsibly produced raw materials in the middle of the cleanest nature in the world. Our goal is to develop the food chain from farm to consumer while also taking environmental aspects into account. We challenge ourselves and our partners to work for more responsible food production.

Our environmental work is guided by reducing greenhouse gas emissions,
reducing waste and improving the recyclability of packaging, protecting biodiversity as well as reducing the water footprint of the supply chain.

Our aim is to achieve net zero for all greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions both in our own operations and across the entire value chain by improving energy efficiency in our production, promoting sustainable land use on farms, and cooperating with contract producers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Approximately one percent of our total emissions come from our own operations, while 99 percent originate from other parts of the food chain. HKFoods therefore plays an important role in reducing emissions from meat production, as it supports farms producing meat raw materials in developing their operations and lowering their emissions by strengthening climate expertise in its primary production.
