HKScan Denmark is committed to improve sustainability of its supply chain and has now joined the Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy. HKScan’s Rose® poultry will gradually start to use only sustainability certified soy in feeds.

”We will publish our action plan towards sustainable soy by the end of 2020,” says Brian Møller Lauridsen, Animal Sourcing Director of HKScan Denmark.

With Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy, retail, food producers, NGOs and authorities have joined their forces to promote the use of sustainable soy in Denmark. The Alliance’s vision is that all the soy imported to Denmark is produced sustainably to avoid deforestation.

“We are very happy to participate in the Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy. It is of utmost importance that the whole food industry is working together for more sustainable value chain. By joining our forces, we can make a great impact,” Møller Lauridsen adds.

HKScan Group also follows projects targeting to produce domestic plant-based proteins and has also replaced soy in animal feed, where suitable. HKScan is a member of the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS).
