This year, we are celebrating the Week for Safety and Health at Work with the entire HKScan team – in all our operating countries and in every location. Due to the prevailing corona situation, we will mainly celebrate the week virtually.

One work-related accident is one too many

“For us at HKScan, ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel is of the utmost importance. Everyone has the right to a safe workplace, from which they can return home safely and in good health,” says CEO Tero Hemmilä. “I believe that every accident can be prevented, and this is why we at HKScan work systematically towards zero accidents. The ongoing Group-wide programmes, Safety First and well-being at work-related Better Together, are an essential part of HKScan’s strategy implementation.”

Management team sets an example with their commitments and actions

We in the HKScan Group Executive Team believe that our strong commitment to developing a culture of safety and well-being is in a key role. “Every member of the Executive Team has made their own personal commitment, in which we tell how we promise to promote the culture of safety and well-being at HKScan,” Tero Hemmilä says. Work safety is a team effort

Promoting safety and well-being at work is everyday work, carried out systematically in all our operating countries and all our units. We are part of each other’s work environment, and we all have an opportunity and responsibility to influence the direction in which we develop it.

“On this day, I want to wish our entire personnel and all our stakeholders a safe and rewarding European Week for Safety and Health at Work. Let’s keep up the good work together,” says Tero Hemmilä.
